How to organise an airing cupboard — UK linen system
Airing cupboards fail when sheets are unfolded and towels are mixed by size.
Seven moves. One cupboard. Calm mornings.
- Empty completely. You cannot organise what you cannot see.
- Match sets. Sheet + duvet + pillowcases together with a ribbon or in one pillowcase.
- Towels by size. Bath, hand, tea. Same fold every time.
- Donate excess. Two sets per bed is enough. Charity shop the rest.
- Heavier down low. Spare duvets bottom. Daily towels at eye level.
- Label shelves. Masking tape. Guests and teens can help without wrecking it.
- Life admin note. Add linen audit quarterly to the Life Admin Checklist.
