How to mix gym and home training in one week — UK
You do not need five gym trips. Pair two gym sessions with home work and keep one plan.
Eight moves for a hybrid week that holds together.
- Choose the split. Gym for heavy lifts or machines. Home for easy cardio, core, or short finishers.
- Book gym slots. Two fixed gym windows. Everything else is home — no daily travel guilt.
- Match volume. Do not double-leg day. One hard lower, one hard upper, then lighter home work.
- Home kit list. Mat, one pair of dumbbells or resistance band, timer. Nothing fancy.
- Same warm-up rule. Five minutes mobility before every session — gym or living room.
- Travel buffer. Gym days include drive/park time in the time-box so you are not late and rushed.
- One log. Write gym and home ticks on the same weekly grid so the week reads as one plan.
- Printable. Weekly Training Plan lets you label session types across gym and home on one page.
