Questions

When do I get it?

By email. After payment we check it with Stripe and email your PDF, usually within a few hours and always within 12 hours. Stripe emails your receipt too. If anything goes wrong, email hello@tchworks.co.uk and we'll send it. Want it straight away? Use the Instant download button for the same PDF through Gumroad, and it downloads as soon as you've paid.

Is anything posted to me?

No. It's a digital download. You print it on your own printer, in colour or black and white, as many times as your fair needs.

Do we need a licence for the raffle or tombola?

Not usually, if it's held at the fair. In Great Britain a raffle or tombola at a fair counts as an incidental lottery: tickets are sold only at the fair while it's on, all money goes to the good cause, up to £100 can cover costs and up to £500 can buy prizes (donated prizes have no limit). Page 9 explains it in plain English and points to the Gambling Commission guidance. Northern Ireland has different rules.

Can we sell raffle tickets before the fair?

Not for an incidental lottery. Tickets can only be sold at the fair, while it's on. You can still advertise the prizes beforehand.

Can I edit it?

It's designed to be filled in by pen: the letters, rota, signs and sheets all have gaps for your date, venue, cause and prices. The ready-to-send messages are written out so you can copy them into the school app, newsletter or WhatsApp.

Who is it for?

School PTAs, PTFAs and Friends groups, nursery and pre-school committees, churches, Scout and Guide groups, sports clubs and community groups running a Christmas fair, fete or bazaar.

Can our committee share it?

Yes, share and print it within your own school or group as much as you like. Please don't resell it or pass it to other organisations.
